1. Booking and availability
All reservations are subject to vehicle availability and final confirmation by Alkou Drive through WhatsApp, telephone or email.
Sending a request through the website does not automatically confirm a reservation. Alkou Drive will confirm the selected vehicle, rental dates, final price, deposit and applicable conditions before the booking is completed.
If the selected vehicle becomes unexpectedly unavailable, Alkou Drive may offer an equivalent or higher-category vehicle. Any change in price must be accepted by the customer beforehand.
2. Driver requirements
The main driver must be at least 19 years old, have held a valid driving licence for at least one year, present a valid driving licence and passport or national identity card, and sign the rental agreement at handover.
An additional driver may be added if Alkou Drive is informed while preparing the contract. Only drivers named in the signed agreement may drive the vehicle.
3. Prices and payment
The final price depends on the selected vehicle, rental duration, dates, availability and optional services. The complete price and conditions will be communicated before confirmation. No additional amount will be charged without an explanation.
Alkou Drive accepts cash, bank transfer, card and other approved payment methods, subject to availability at the time of payment. Prices displayed in euros are provided for convenience; the confirmed amount is payable in Moroccan dirhams unless otherwise agreed.
4. Advance payment and reservation
Advance payment is optional unless otherwise specified during confirmation. A vehicle is not guaranteed to remain reserved for future dates without an agreed advance payment.
When an advance is paid, the vehicle is reserved for the confirmed dates. Because it is removed from availability for other customers, the advance may be non-refundable if the customer cancels. The amount and cancellation conditions will be clearly communicated and accepted before payment.
5. Security deposit and insurance franchise
A refundable security deposit is required and normally corresponds to the insurance franchise applicable to the selected vehicle. The amount varies by vehicle and will be communicated before confirmation and recorded in the rental agreement.
The deposit may be used for legitimate amounts owed by the customer. The remaining deposit will be returned after the vehicle has been inspected and any outstanding charges have been identified.
- Damage not covered by insurance or the applicable franchise
- Missing fuel, keys, documents or equipment
- Traffic fines and late-return charges
- Justified cleaning or repair costs
6. Insurance
All vehicles include comprehensive all-risks insurance, subject to the insurer’s conditions, exclusions and applicable franchise. In a covered claim, the customer remains responsible for the franchise stated for the selected vehicle.
Coverage may be excluded in cases such as an undeclared driver, driving under the influence, reckless or illegal use, racing, off-road driving, negligence, incorrect fuel, lost keys or documents, failure to report an accident promptly, or failure to obtain required police documentation. The applicable coverage, franchise and important exclusions will be explained before confirmation.
7. Unlimited kilometres
Unlimited kilometres are included with every Alkou Drive vehicle for authorised travel within Morocco. Unlimited mileage does not authorise racing, off-road driving, unlawful activity, commercial passenger transport or another prohibited use.
8. Delivery and collection
Free delivery and collection are available at Marrakech Menara Airport, hotels, riads and agreed addresses within Marrakech, subject to confirmed booking details and scheduling.
Delivery outside Marrakech or special arrangements may involve an additional charge, disclosed before confirmation. Customers must provide correct arrival details and promptly report significant delays.
9. Fuel policy
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level recorded at handover. If it is returned with less fuel, the customer may be charged for the missing fuel and any disclosed refuelling expense. No refund is normally provided for additional fuel.
10. Vehicle condition and smoking
The vehicle’s condition, fuel, equipment and existing damage will be checked at handover. The customer must inspect the vehicle and report any discrepancy before departure. It must be returned in substantially the same condition, allowing for normal use.
Smoking is permitted provided it causes no burns, stains, persistent odours or other damage. Necessary cleaning or repairs may be charged to the customer.
11. Permitted use and travel
The vehicle may be driven throughout Morocco in accordance with the rental agreement. It may not be used for racing, off-road driving, unauthorised towing, paid passenger transport, unlawful activity or by an undeclared driver.
Travel outside Morocco requires Alkou Drive’s prior written approval. The customer must provide sufficient notice so the necessary authorisation, insurance and vehicle documents can be prepared. Approval is not automatic and depends on the destination and applicable requirements.
12. Accidents, damage, theft and breakdowns
The customer must stop safely, protect the vehicle, contact Alkou Drive immediately, notify the competent authority when required, obtain the necessary report and avoid arranging repairs or admitting liability without authorisation. Failure to follow this process may affect insurance coverage.
For a mechanical breakdown not caused by misuse or negligence, Alkou Drive will provide reasonable assistance and, when available, a replacement vehicle.
13. Traffic fines
The customer is responsible for traffic fines, parking charges, tolls and violations incurred during the rental. Documented outstanding amounts and disclosed administration costs may be deducted from the security deposit where permitted.
14. Extensions and late returns
Any extension must be requested and approved before the agreed return time. A grace period of up to one hour is permitted. A return more than one hour late without an approved extension will be charged according to the applicable agreed rental rate. The customer must contact Alkou Drive immediately when expecting a delay.
15. Cancellation
A reservation may be cancelled free of charge when no advance payment has been made. If an advance was paid to reserve the vehicle for future dates, some or all of it may be retained because the vehicle was removed from availability. The applicable conditions will be communicated before payment.
Alkou Drive will respect any mandatory cancellation or withdrawal rights provided by applicable Moroccan law.
16. Personal belongings
Customers are responsible for belongings left inside the vehicle. Alkou Drive is not responsible for lost, stolen or forgotten items except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
17. Personal information
Customer information may be used to manage reservations, prepare agreements, verify drivers, communicate about the rental, provide assistance and meet insurance and legal obligations. It will not be sold. Customers may request access to or correction of their information, subject to applicable Moroccan data-protection law.
18. Final rental agreement
These website terms provide general information. Before confirmation, the customer will receive the final price, selected vehicle, dates, insurance franchise, deposit and applicable conditions. The signed rental agreement forms the final contract. Mandatory Moroccan law applies if any provision conflicts with legal requirements.
